Evan Urbania joins EspoComm as a Development Associate with a diverse background in the non-profit sector. He is currently the Executive Director of The Memoria Project, Inc. of New Jersey, a community effort to create a permanent tribute to the victims of September 11th. Under his leadership, the organization has successfully raised over $300,000 in materials, cash and services, while gaining regional, national and congressional support since the Project's creation in early 2002 (visit www.memoriaproject.com for more information on this project).

As a Development Associate with EspoComm, Evan applies his expertise in the areas of prospect research, grant proposal writing and strategic planning. Evan adds significant value to each project by finding effective institutional funding opportunities through databases and advanced search tools to identify the best sources of corporate, foundation and governmental funding for clients. Evan brings to our clients extensive experience in identifying, contacting, and developing successful proposals to institutional funders. In addition, Evan works closely with EspoComm’s Design Services Team, providing art direction and project coordination for our clients.

Evan has substantial experience in the areas that affect non-profit organizations most. From coordinating volunteers and public relations, to special events, financial planning and management, Evan takes an aggressive approach to achieving goals through strategic planning and execution. He currently holds seats on the Board of Directors of two regional non-profit corporations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Prior to his work in Philadelphia, Evan worked in television production as a post-production audio supervisor in New York City. He later went on to create Sigma Six Recording, a project-based recording studio catering to musicians in the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan area.

Evan Urbania has attended Drexel University as an Anthony J. Drexel scholarship recipient. Evan is a member of The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and The American Society for Quality (ASQ).
